God Does Not Ration His Grace

Man is insatiable in and by nature. A man by nature searches and yearns all time. Hence, scarcity is a condition and situation of life in man’s existence. Scarcity brings forth the idea and notion of rationing, not being enough, inadequate, deficient or shortage. Our souls yearn for the Lord like the deer that yearns for running stream. We yearn because we have vacuums and scarcities in and of life. At wartime, when soldiers have a little or scarce amount of food, they ration their food. They eat small measured portions daily so that the food will last. If this scarcity is found in and with God and his grace or the Holy Spirit says am helping you to a limited degree, what would be your faith and reaction? What will become of your life? The good thing is that God is full of mercy and compassion, slow to anger and abound in love. There is no scarcity in and of God; he is complete, wholly and holistic.  God acts in the opposite direction with us.  He is fully in favor of us. He commits and offers us the Holy Spirit and graces we need or want.  The problem is with us. We often “ration” his grace not because God is limited or scarce but because we are afraid to let God unleash his almighty power in us. We are afraid of the unknown and hesitate or refuse to embrace his will in all things. We refuse to change our lives’ attitude. As God is offering us an unlimited amount of grace by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, may we stop all forms of fear and rationing and be immersed in his grace and say “yes” to him no matter what that leads us to, through Christ our Lord, Amen. “YOU ARE THE LIGHT”
